India has to be one of the most fascinating and charismatic countries in the world. It’s an experience that should not be missed, as the memories of India will stay with you for the rest of your life.
However long or short your visit, you cannot fail to be mesmerised by all that you see. Nothing can really prepare you for it. It’s a sensory overload.
‘The Golden Triangle’ is the most popular way to see India on your first trip, and it will blow your mind. Taking in Delhi where from each stret corner amazing sights can be seen, Agra and the magnificent Taj Mahal and Jaipur, or the ‘pink city’ as it is known, where number plate clad elephants are a popular mode of transport.
If you’re lucky enough to visit during the celebration of ‘Holi’, (Festival of Colour) join in as people throw brightly coloured powder paint at each other – it’s brilliant to be a part of it, but be warned – wear old clothes!
There’s a lot more to India than the Golden Triangle of course, but if time is limited, you can’t beat it for a great introduction to India. You can always add some time chilling out doing yoga on a beach in Goa to let your senses recover.
*Rosie’s Tip- Remember to arrange to get your Visa to visit India well before your visit.
