Today is International Friendship Day!
Reach out to your friends from the past, remember with fondness those no longer with us, cherish and value the true friends you have here and now in the present and relish the thoughts of making many more new friends in the future.
Friendship comes in all shapes, sizes and intensity levels. It’s important to remember that just a smile can go a long way… Something so simple can make someone’s day, so please be friendly in all areas of your life. Smile at the postman, the elderly person walking down the street… chat to the person on the check-out at the supermarket or at the petrol station… be open on holiday and encourage new friendships. Pre-judging people is a bad move… be open and you’ll often be pleasantly surprised and have a more enjoyable holiday by sharing experiences and making memories. Making friends on my travels all around the world have helped mould me into a more rounded, open and happy global citizen. Be open not closed, your future friends will thank you for it!
If you are looking to make lots of new friends then why not consider joining a group tour. You’ll meet like-minded people, visit amazing places and make memories to last a lifetime.
